ROBIN LARSEN & NEW HOPE
This past week has been a very emotional time for me and, I assume, for lots of others in our town. Sadly, Robin Larsen, the founder and executive director of New Hope Arts, Inc. passed away a couple of weeks ago. Her memorial service was last Sunday and I must admit that I was a bit more than teary-eyed. Robin was my friend for over 9 years and a mentor to me for many of them. Whenever I needed someone to interview for ILoveNewHope.com, I just gave Robin a call. She always had a list of interesting people for me to investigate. Then there were all of the wonderful artists she introduced me to over the years. I was honored when she started New Hope Arts in 2003 and asked me to be one of her board members.
Like I was saying, Robin's memorial service was last weekend and there was a party at the New Hope Arts Center afterwards. I was in awe of the hundreds of locals who attended both standing room only events. It is hard to believe Robin's not coming back. Either directly or indirectly, Robin touched the lives of everyone who lives or visits here. Her vision and the reality of the arts center she created will continue to influence thousands of people for years to come.
It was during the memorial service that it hit me hard.
Some of you know that I have talked about possibly moving to Maine some day, especially after George and I get divorced. But last week, feeling the warmth and embrace of so many people I know, I realized that my home is here. My friends are here. My business is here. The community has become like a family to me. I feel supported and loved here. How can I possibly think of leaving New Hope? New Hope is just that - "new" hope for anyone willing to accept and share the love that is here.
I guess what I really want to say is THANK YOU. Thank you to all my friends in New Hope and Lambertville and thank you Robin Larsen. Robin, you, who taught me a lot about successfully living in a small town. Thank you all for just being you and for being there for each other.
For all of you who live here, I hope you feel the same appreciation I do. For those who visit here, I hope that you can experience the "specialness" that makes our towns so wonderful.
A very special Thanksgiving to everyone - today and every day.

THANKSGIVING SENTIMENTS
Today I received an e-card from my friend and business partner (www.SearchHolistic.com), Catalina Smith. Her message was so lovely, I asked her if I could share it with all of you. So, here it is!

NEW COMPUTER GURU
A few weeks back, I had some REALLY nasty problems with my computer - to the point where I thought I needed to invest in a new one. Then, along came Rob of Inline Tech. He was amazing. He got my computer running again and I have had no problems at ALL since then (keep those fingers and toes crossed!) The best thing is that Rob is local and willing to come to my house if and when I need him. His prices are reasonable and he is very personable.
I twisted Rob's arm to give us a tech article every month - technical information that will be of interest to just about everyone! (Everyone reading this newsletter is using a computer after all.)
Please read his articles and, if you need help with your own computer, give him a holler.
