LEXI UPDATE AND VISIT TO MAINE

I ran into my friend Lynn last month (who reads my newsletter each month) and she asked me about Lexi. For those of you who missed the last few emails where I described our new Bishon Frise/Miniature Poodle mix puppy, Lexi is the newest (and last) addition to our family. I thought, well, I guess it is about time for a Lexi update. She will be eight months old on August 4th and weighs at least 10 pounds now. At least that is what she weighed the last time we visited the vet. Hard to believe I have lived through the hardest puppy months - the first month especially was tough.

Lexi is turning into a sweet girl. We take walks and everyone thinks she is a cutie. Most of the time, I think she is too. Tonight, as I sit here typing these words, I am a little miffed at her because she peed on our bed. Why would she do that? The only reason I can come up with is that we were playing right before she did it. All body functions (and even eating) are put on temporary hold if she has an opportunity to PLAY or to meet new people. Lexi is the only dog I have ever seen who can pee, wag her tail, and bark joyfully at passers-by all at the same time.

So, here is an updated photo of Lexi. How could anyone get angry at that cute face!!!

It is summertime! It is visit to Maine time! I am going with my friend Barb and leaving Lexi and George behind. Just for a week. Maybe I will have a good story or two to tell!
